Aristolochia macrophylla (Dutchmans Pipe Vine)

10.00

The pale green heart-shaped leaves and the maroon and greenish pipe-like flowers that dangle from the stems are quite unusually spectacular. These vines may take a few years to get established but will take off and grow into a large plant quickly.  This plant was used as a porch-shading vine in times past because of its large, lovely leaves.  older specimens will grow to the tops of forest trees. One of the primary host plants for the Pipevine Swallowtail.  blooms May-June in Zones 4-8;  WV. ecotype.
