Sun; average to dry soil; easily grown in most soils this milkweed is the gold standard for monarch butterflies. A large plant with variable flower colors from white to pinkish-mauve or bicolor. Large leaves and tall (up to 4' tall) this plant can be rather aggressive and care should be used in smaller gardens. Flowers are richly scented like lilac. blooms July-August; Zone 3-9; VA ecotype
