Baptisia albescens (Spiked Wild Indigo)

Spiked Wild Indigo grows in dry sandy pine-forests and fields along the southern coastal-plain. Similar to Baptisia alba but larger and with brown papery seed pods rather than black ones. Grows 1-3 feet tall. White flowers from May to July. Zone 5-9. SC ecotype.
