9.00

Catbells is an unusual wild indigo in that its blue-grey leaves are pierced by the stem giving the plant the look of a shrubby eucalyptus. Small yellow flowers occur singly along the stem at the node of each leaf. Flowering occurs in July-August. Grows 1-3 feet tall. Preference is for dry sandy soil and full sun to part shade. Very unusual and attractive. Hardiness above zone 7 is in doubt. Some list 6 as possible. SC ecotype.
