Part sun; Average well drained soil; The native wild bleeding-heart is fairly rare throughout its range. In the wild it is usually found on seepy cliffs and hills or high mountain bluffs. It adapts well to a well drained organic rich garden soil with light shade. Ferny blue-green leaves are topped with pink (sometimes white) flowers from April through October. Grows 10-14" tall; Zone 3-9; WV ecotype
