Woodland strawberry is a little woodland groundcover that is found on rich soils usually in cool shaded ravines or mountain hillsides. Adapts readily to a shady garden. Can spread fast but it is a small plant and wont crowd other plants out. White flowers in April and May are followed by small intensely sweet fruits. Zone 5-9. WV ecotype.
