8.00

Fringed Loosestrife prefers wet to average soils in full sun to part shade. Often occurring along wet woodland edges, wet meadows, streams and low woods. Bright yellow flowers occur July to September. Interestingly the flowers produce oil instead of nectar which attract oil bees that must have plants in the Lysimachia genus to survive. Grows between 2-4 feet tall. This form of the plant has deep purple leaves which set off the flowers. Leaf color is stronger in the sun. Can be aggressive. Zone 3-8. Unknown ecotype.
