Formerly saxifraga micranthidifolia, this attractive perennial inhabits cool mountain streams, brooks, seeps and other cool, shady wet places. Plants have a semi-evergreen basal rosette of broad edible leaves from which grow one foot tall stalks of airy white flowers from May to June. Soils need to be moist and shaded. Zone 5-6; WV ecotype.
