Monkeyflowers grow in sun to part sun in wet soils along woodland creeks, swamps, sunny wet meadows, floodplains, ditches and other consistently moist locations. Allegheny monkeyflower has pinkish to blue flowers from July to August that are held away from the stem on a short stalk. Growing slightly taller than winged monkeyflower they range from 2-4 feet tall. Zone 3-8. WV ecotype.
