Trumpet honeysuckle is a native woody vine growing 6-15 feet tall or so. It’s bright red flowers attract hordes of hummingbirds. Blooms long, from April to September. Preference is for part shade and rich garden soil. In the wild it prefers thickets and woods-edges or stream edges and low flood-plains. This cultivar has strong red flowers and clean, mildew-resistant, foliage. Zone 4-9
