Brown-eyed Susan is a short lived, but prolific, perennial that grows under almost any soil or light condition other than deep shade. Best growth occurs along moist woodland edges and flood-plains. Will self seed to form immense patches. Good for covering large weed-prone areas. Plants grow between 1-3 feet tall. Yellow-orange flowers with brown centers appear from July to October. Seeds are much loved by wintering birds. Zone 4-8. WV ecotype. // Seed packet, about 50 seeds. Germination requirements: 60 days cold, moist stratification.
