Porteranthus stipulatus (Wild Ipecac)

Formerly known as Gillenia stipulata. A more western relation to the Bowmans Root (Porteranthus trifoliatus). This plant tends to be larger and tolerant of more sun and a wider variety of soils. 1-3 feet tall with finely dissected leaves that may be confused with a certain other plant. Part sun and moist to average loamy soils are preferred. White flowers in June. Striking and stately! Zone 4-8. OH ecotype.
