Formerly known as Scutellaria epilobifolia; Sun to part shade; Wet to moist muck or even shallow open water; This skullcap grows in marshes, spring fed seeps and ponds. Like mad-dog skullcap but much bigger. Can be rather aggressive in a pond garden but it is rather wispy and rarely becomes so problematic as to be of concern. Favored by bees. Grows 1-2' tall; Blooms July-August; Zone 3-6; VA. ecotype
