A tall sunflower-like plant that is happy in full sun to part shade and likes average to dry soils. Large yellow flowers appear from June-August on top of stout 4-6' tall stems. Narrow leaves in groups of 2 and 3 are arranged along the stem giving the plant a coarse-lacy effect. Goldfinches love the seeds! Zone 5-8. WV. Ecotype.
