Harris' goldenrod is a shale-barren endemic that is easily adaptable to a lightly shaded rock garden. This is a very attractive little clump-forming goldenrod that grows in extremely dry and well-drained soils in full sun to light shade. Grows 2-3' tall and has broad serrated leaves on dark ebony stems. sprays of yellow flowers appear in September to October. Zone 4-8. VA. ecotype.
