Formerly Eupatorium rugosum, White snakeroot is a tough-as-nails all-purpose woodland wildflower. It is tolerant of deer and difficult soils and is adaptable to part sun to full shade. An incredible pollinator plant for shady autumnal gardens. Can be a bit aggressive so may not be wise for small gardens. A nice big plant is as beautiful as any hydrangea! Preference is for moist to dry soils and part sun to full shade. Grows 2-4 feet tall. Blooms white from September to November. Zone 3-8 / MD ecotype.
