Smooth hedgenettle is an attreactive, colony-forming perennial of moist, lishtly shaded woods and woods-edges. Often found with Monarda didyma and Phlox paniculata, it can easily hold it’s own against those plants. Grows 2-3 feet tall and sports spikes of light pink flowers in June-July. Spreads by knobby underground tubers so give plenty of room. Zone 4-8. WV ecotype.
