White False Indigo grows in the prairies as far east as Ohio. It is a large bushy perennial emerging in the spring like dark grey asparagus ultimately leafing out with blue-grey leaves and topped with spikes of white lupine-like flowers in May-June. Grows 3-4' tall and has a deep taproot so plants are not easily moved once established. Zone 3-9. OH ecotype.
